It is a 500 metre walk to the Snowdon Mountain Railway and a ten minute walk from the start of the Llanberis path which is the most commonly used path to climb Snowdon. Nearby is Dolbadarn Castle, the National Slate museum, Lake Padarn country park with the steam Lake Railway, the Victorian Quarry Hospital and Electric Mountain.
